ÓFLOINN, Raghnall (Dublin and Waterford: former Director of the National Museum of Ireland and scholar), 10th December 2024, peacefully at home with his family after a long battle with illness.
An inexpressible loss to his wife Edel, daughter Sorcha, son Muiris and their partners Rosie and Thomas, his brothers Tomás and Maolíosa, sisters Eimear, Niamh, Sadhbhanna and Aoife and their families. He will be sorely missed by his many colleagues in the National Museum and by scholars of archaeology, art history and history far and wide.
He will repose in Massey’s Funeral Home, 88a New Cabra Road (D07 ET92) on Thursday 12th December from 5 pm to 7 pm. Requiem Mass in Newman University Church, St Stephen’s Green on Friday 13th December at 2.30 pm. Burial will take place at 2 pm in Stradbally Parish Church, Co. Waterford on Saturday 14th December 2024.

Kelly, Patrick (Paddy) - 9th December 2024 - Late of Cabra, Dublin 7, formerly of The Social welfare office, Navan Road. Passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family in the exceptional care of the staff of the Mater Hospital. Predeceased by his brothers John, Brendan, and Tony and his sister-in-law Ethna.
