LOUGHRAN, Fr. Malachy (Sean) OSA, 5th December 2023. Peacefully, at the Augustinian Care Facility, St. Augustine’s, Ballyboden, Dublin 16, in his 90th year.
Predeceased by his brothers and sister, Fr. Vincent OSA (Damian), Br. Kevin (Christian Brothers), Noel, and Sr. Monica (sisters of Mercy). Sadly missed by his sister, Sr. Clare (Sisters of Mercy), sister-in-law Mary, his nephews and nieces, Sean, Claire, Monica, Deirdre, Kevin, Vincent, and their families, his Augustinian confreres in Ireland and Britain, and his many friends.

On Friday 8th December a prayer service will be held in St. Augustine’s, Dublin 16, at 3pm after which his remains will be removed to the Augustinian Church (St Augustine’s), Drogheda, arriving at 5.30pm where a vigil will be held ending with a prayer service at 7pm. On Saturday 9th December a Requiem Mass will be celebrated at 11am followed by burial in the Augustinian plot, St Peter’s Cemetery, Drogheda.

Davidson, James (Jim), Dun Laoghaire Co. Dublin (formerly Cabra). December 1st 2023. Peacefully after a short illness in the care of Professor O’Gorman, Dr. David McSharry, Dr. Vivianna and the dedicated nursing staff of The Mater Private Hospital. He was surrounded by his loving family.
Jim was adored and deeply loved by his incredible wife Monica, his three children, Sandra, Karen and Mark, his two sons-in-law, Anthony and Trevor, Mark’s partner Sarah, his nine Grandchildren, Emma, Daniel, Rebecca, Douglas, Andrew, Ben, Olivia, Max and Lorna and his three Grand dogs Macy, Bear and Lewis. We would like to acknowledge and will never forget the support of his amazing friends and ex. colleagues, in particular, Neil and Tony K.
He is at peace now.
A celebration of James’ life will take place on Wednesday the 6th of December in The Victorian Chapel, Mount Jerome Crematorium at 10 am.
