Peacefully, in the wonderful care of the staff in the Mater Hospital, surrounded by her family. Beloved wife of the late Patrick. Evelyn will be very sadly missed by her loving daughters and sons, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sisters Josephine and Kathleen, nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and neighbours.

Removal on Wednesday, October 4th to Our Lady Help of Christians Church, Navan Road, D07 XA89 at 5:30pm. Funeral Mass at 10am on Thursday morning, followed by burial in Confey Cemetery, Leixlip.

Galvin, Diarmuid, 2nd October, 2023, Dublin, formerly of Grange Park, Foxrock, Dublin 18. Peacefully in the care of the wonderful staff of St. Vincents Hospital. Pre-deceased by Fiona Galvin. Diarmuid will be forever loved and sadly missed by his three children, Seán, Ciara, Gary, his mother Nóirín, his sister Blathnaid, nieces and nephews, extended family, relatives, friends and the dog Rudi.

Lyons (née Kelly), September 30th, 2023, peacefully after a short illness at Tallaght Hospital, Phyllis, late of Cherrywood Crescent, Clondalkin and formerly of Pimlico, The Liberties. Beloved daughter of the late Paddy and Kathleen and pre-deceased by her brother Derek. Loving wife of James and much-loved mother of Gareth, Stephen and Mark, Derek, Jonathan & Wesley, and the late Melissa. Beloved husband of the late Doreen and much-loved mother of Rodney, Fergus, Dorena and Karl. Fr. Hyacinth (Jimmy) Ennis OFM
Ennis, Fr. Hyacinth (Jimmy) OFM (South Africa, formerly of Saint John Vianney Seminary, Pretoria, and Tullamore, Ireland) died peacefully on 27th September in the Holy Cross Nursing Home, Suderberg, S Africa.
Deeply missed by his brother Michael, sisters Rufina Recks and Barbara Canella (predeceased by brother Patrick), and by nephews, nieces, relatives and friends, and by his Franciscan brothers in South Africa and Ireland.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Saint Pius X Church, Waterkloof on Thursday 5th October at 8.00am (Irish time). Burial will take place in La Verna Franciscan Retreat Centre, Vanderbijlpark.

Michael O’Neill
Michael O’Neill (Blackrock, Co. Dublin), died peacefully at home on Saturday 30th September, surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Joan, and wonderful and much loved father of Anna, Sarah and Eoin.
He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his sisters and brothers, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, and his many friends and neighbours.

Elizabeth (Bette) Carroll (née McDermott)
Elizabeth (Bette) Carroll (nee McDermott). Blackrock, Co. Dublin and formerly, Colligmartin House, Timahoe, Co. Kildare, died peacefully on the morning of her 93rd birthday - surrounded by her loving family and in the tender care of the staff at the Royal Hospital, Donnybrook.
Bette was the much loved youngest daughter, and last surviving member, of the family of Jack and May McDermott. She shared fifty wonderful years of marriage with her husband, Tom, and was a devoted mother to Maeve, Bill and David and cherished friend to their partners Michael, Liz and Joe.
Bette was a devoted grandmother to Ciaran, Andrew and Laura and a much loved aunt to her many nieces, grand-nieces and nephews. Bette will be deeply missed by her extended family, wide circle of friends and her kind neighbours in Pine Court.
Funeral Mass will take place at 10am on Tuesday October 3rd, in the Church of the Guardian Angels on Newtownpark Ave, Blackrock followed by cremation at Mount Jerome Crematorium, Harold’s Cross.

Maeve McGarry (née Byrne)
Maeve McGarry (née Byrne), Foxrock, Dublin. After a brief but devasting illness in the kindness and care of the Palliative Care Team at the Beacon Hospital, peacefully surround by her heartbroken family and partner. She will be sadly missed by her adored daughters Bronagh and Caoimhe, sons in law John and Sean, her brother Gerard, sister-in-law Pamela, her nephew’s Ronan and Gareth her partner Pat, her best friend Paula and all her extended family, friends and neighbours. Maeve was a wonderful mother, sister, aunt, friend and neighbour who will remain forever in our hearts.
