James (Sammy) Slattery


SLATTERY James (Sammy), Kill Avenue, Dun Laoghaire retired (ex The Alliance and Consumers Dublin Gas Company) 1946 to 1986, peacefully after a short illness. Predeceased in May 2022 by his wife of 64 years - Alice (née Timbs) and predeceased by his siblings, Bridie, Peggy, Teresa, Rose, Danny, Tony, John and Leo.

Sadly missed by his daughters Belinda and Deirdre, sons Jim and Vincent, brother Tommy, son-in-law Michael, daughters-in-law Mary and Julie, sister-in-law Una, nieces and nephews grandchildren Derek, Ciaran, Stephen ,Thomas, Conor ,Tadgh, Sean, Aisling, Eimear, Mella, Luke and Neil, and great grandchildren Iseult, Aoife, Isabelle, Conan, Coilin, Cian, Callum Euan, Donnacha and Ruaridh, neighbours of over 60 years and golfing companions ex Foxrock Artisans and Dublin Gas Company Golfing Society and friends.

Rest in Peace.

Resting at Massey Bros. Funeral Home, 5 Newtown Park Avenue, Blackrock, A94X308, from 2pm – 4pm Wednesday November 22nd, 2023. His funeral will be held at Church of the Holy Family Kill Avenue, Dun Laoghaire on Thursday November 23rd, 2023, at 10:45am followed by his cremation at Mount Jerome Crematorium at 1:45pm.
