A message from the Massey Bros family, relating to restrictions on ALL funeral services as a result of Covid19
In light of the current Covid-19 public health crisis, the Irish Government, The HSE, The Churches of Dublin, Cemeteries and Crematoria, have all issued instructions to Funeral Directors regarding ALL funeral services. These restrictions are being monitored daily and are subject to change. The instructions are as follows:All funeral services must be limited in numbers (less than 10) and are effectively strictly private. This means that services can only be attended by immediate family or by invitation of the family, whilst still adhering to the strict policy of 10 or less. We advise that you check with the individual suppliers on the length of service and their particular guidelines as individuals may differ. Our staff will guide you via telephone please call 01 453 33 33 for clarification.
At these services and gatherings, there cannot be any shaking of hands, hugging or kissing. We understand this is extremely difficult for all families concerned, but we must adhere to these instructions for the benefit of everyone in the efforts to slow the spread of Covid19.
The wider family and friends of the deceased are encouraged to leave messages of condolence in the condolences section on the RIP.ie website.
Massey Bros intend on having “Ceremonies of Light” when we emerge from these dark days, in all of our parishes. We hope that may help bring some comfort to our families and an opportunity to honour their loved ones, in a way they would have wished to.
It is critical for everyone’s safety that we implement these clear instructions from our Government.
We thank you in advance for your understanding and co-operation at this difficult time.
