The death has occurred of Maura (Catherine) BALE (née Breslin)
Drumcondra, Dublin

October 18, 2015,

Maura (Catherine) peacefully in the loving presence of her family, and in the excellent care of the staff of Cowper Care, Rathmines. Beloved widow of Kenneth Bale and a dedicated loving mother to her grieving sons and daughters. Also beloved sister of Tony and the late Fr William Breslin. Sadly missed by her sister-in-law Margaret, sons- and daughters-in-law, nephews and nieces, grandchildren and great-granddaughters, cousins, relatives and extended family and friends.

Reposing at her daughter Anna’s home from 5pm on Tuesday 20th and arriving at Our Lady of Dolores Church in Glasnevin for 10am Requiem Mass on Wednesday 21st, followed by burial in Glasnevin Cemetery.

Bale, nee Breslin, Droim Chonrach, Baile Átha Cliath – Máire (Catherine) ar an 18 Deireadh Fómhair in aois a 89 bliain, d’éag faoi shíocháin i measc a muintire agus faoi chaoinchúram fhoireann Cowper Care Ráth Maoinis. Baintreach ionúin Cionnaoth Bale agus máthair ghrámhar a clann mac agus a clann iníonacha. Méala mór dá deartháireacha Tony agus an tAth William Breslin (nach maireann), a deirfiúr chéile Margaret, a cliamhain agus clann a gclainne, a gaolta agus a cairde uile.

Beidh Máire ar a socracht i dtig a hiníne Anna, óna 5pm ar an Mháirt, 20 Deireadh Fómhair. Cuirfear í tar éis Aifreann na Marbh ar an gCéadaoin 21 ag a 10am i Séipéal Muire na nDóláis, Glasnaíon. Adhlacadh ina dhiaidh sin i Reilig Ghlasnaíon.

Update on ease of Government restrictions on funeral services, as of Monday 10th May.

Unfortunately, it is still not possible to have a large funeral as we still navigate the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic. We understand how difficult this is for you the families we serve but the safety of everyone is our priority. We must play our part in the strict adherence to these instructions.

Only immediate family and close friends should attend the funeral.

No more than 50 people are permitted to attend the funeral service or be present at the graveside. Numbers allowed in Crematoria vary, your Funeral Arranger will be able to advise on exact numbers.

The numbers who may attend gatherings in our funeral homes is limited at this time. Again, your Funeral Arranger can advise you on the numbers as it depends on the size of the funeral home.

Face masks must be worn when entering our funeral homes. It is also recommended that they are worn in churches and crematoriums. When visiting our funeral homes for your safety, we ask that you provide your contact details for the benefit of track and trace.

Those in attendance will also need to follow social distancing guidelines. This means all funeral attendees must keep a distance of 2 metres apart.

Physical interactions including shaking hands and hugging must be avoided.

Those who are self-isolating or need to restrict their movements can not attend funerals.

Many of our churches have implemented streaming services so that family and friends can view the service from home. Please ask your Funeral arranger for details.
